Stockton Springs

A modern recognition of American patriots can be found in the Veterans Memorial Park in downtown Stockton Springs. The World War II Memorial consists of a bronze plaque mounted on the face of a granite rock. The principal inscription states that “The Citizens of Stockton Springs Honor Those Who Served Their Country in World War II” and below that titled “In Memoriam” with the names of residents who lost their lives and over 75 who served in the war effort.

The Town also has a bronze plaque mounted on the face of an irregular shaped granite stone that pays tribute to those that served in conflicts after World War II. It is located just yards away from the WWII memorial in the same park with an inscription which reads: “In Memory of the Stockton Springs Men and Women Who Served In the Korean and Vietnam Wars.”
